Dr. Prashant Adhikari

Dr. Prashant Adhikari is a Consultant Orthopaedic and Spine Surgeon from Nepal. He completed his MD and MS in Orthopaedics from Kathmandu University and has undertaken advanced spine fellowships at renowned international centers, including Ankara Spine Center (Turkey), the Technical University of Munich (Germany), University Hospitals of Strasbourg (France), Endoscopic Spine Surgery training in India, and Weiss Memorial Hospital, Chicago (USA).

He currently practices at the Hospital for Advanced Medicine and Surgery (HAMS) and AaRuS Lifestyle Hospital. His areas of expertise include spinal deformity surgery, degenerative spine disorders, endoscopic spine surgery, spinal infections, spinal tumors, kyphoplasty, vertebroplasty, and comprehensive spine pain management procedures. Dr. Adhikari routinely performs complex spine surgeries, including Tomita's osteotomy (en bloc tumor resection), advanced pediatric and adult spinal deformity corrections, and surgical management of spinal infections such as tuberculosis and other infective pathologies. He is actively involved in voluntary medical services, working at Sushma Koirala Memorial Hospital (SKH) and the Self-Help Group for Cerebral Palsy (SGCP), where he provides free spine surgeries and surgical care for patients with cerebral palsy.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Adhikari is actively engaged in academic research and is a member of several national and international spine societies. He is married and has one son. His wife, Bandana Adhikari, is a PhD scholar, and he lives with his father.
